Renee Nicole Good

I was heating up so much with everything happening in Minneapolis. It’s so pathetic how this country treats its own citizens, quick to strip people of their humanity. We are in a terrible place. I had to take a step back to cool off. And when I was ready, I came back and showed up with my community.

None of what’s happening is going to deter us from protecting each other. Today, ICE agents killed Renee Nicole Good, a mother to a 6-year-old and a U.S. citizen. I didn’t know her personally, but I know how determined she was to protect her community. That’s what hurts. It could have been any one of us. We will not normalize this. We will honor the life she leaves behind by continuing to show up for our neighbors.
